Volo.net is a new website to offer insurance to people aged 18 to 35. The main philosophy is to make it really simple to quote, apply for, and buy, a broad range of cover.
Some things are definitely simpler. There is one price from age 18 to 35. Limited underwriting. That has an impact on cover, however, with pre-existing conditions excluded, many excluded occupations, and many pass-times also excluded. You cannot change the relationships between the amounts of different types of cover.
It will be interesting to see how it goes – driving traffic to an insurance offer is tricky at the best of times.
Mosaic is crowd-funding on Equitise at present, and has a stated ambition to add travel insurance.
